Well, it take me only 7 attempts and 1 day of strong read from docker - mongodb - virtualbox forums :)

I thought theres some dependencies missing in my device, since all attempts I tried are all fresh installations of ubuntu versions in the virtualbox in my win7. 😅

it's just virtualbox is incompatible with mongodb via docker container

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/35005096/docker-cannot-start-mongodb-with-attached-volume-through-data-only-container

now I know the real reason behind all those troubles. thank you for this information. 😁👌

Yes. Remove the /data/mongo lines and you're good to go

re: NanoWallet ApostileThe PDF generation...which section is the PDF done to produce it?...my friend wish to change the logo it produces in the PDF file. thanks.

Hi there, my friend tried to install catapult using Docker container but it turns out to something like this:

Is there anything probably missing?

It seems keep pinging to other address instead of local host

It seems keep pinging to other address instead of local host

The pinging other addresses is normal. Each service is in a separate container with their own ip address. The second image uploaded is a separate issue. It seems that there is already another process running on port 3000 already

Try this command: netstat - plntTo see if there is a process listening on port 3000

Hi again!I've done "docker-compose up" & when I typed in the terminal "curl localhost:3000/block/1" it gives an error.

The error says "curl: (7) Failed to connect to localhost port 3000: Connection refused".

What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks for your help! ☺

Cate
The error says "curl: (7) Failed to connect to localhost port 3000: Connection refused".

Connection refused usually means there is no server running. Trynetstat -an | grep -i listenYou get a list

After I typed in netstat -an | grep -i listen in the terminal it said that "grep was not recognized".

Do I install it?

Oh thanks! 😁 I did get a list.

If there is no row matching th number 3000 then you have to start the server

In the UDP section there's no 3000.

It's not there either.

You need to run the server

How do I run it?

With docker compose?

https://github.com/tech-bureau/catapult-service-bootstrap#known-issues
I'm following the Craftain course: https://craftain.com/courses/getting-started-with-nem-catapult, so when the tutorial said to go to the browser after I ran docker-compose up and type localhost:3000/block/1, that's what I did.I'll check out those links now. 🙂

After I looked at the GitHub link that you gave me and ran the docker part, it still isn't working.

You need to look at the logs

I'm a bit confused; from where do I remove /data /mongo?

Okay , I'll check it out later today when I'm home. 🙂

Thanks for the guidance🙌

So in the docker-compose.yml file should I delete line 54?Or is it lines 49 to 55?

there are two lines that have the /data/mongo delete both

@Jtey1 after I delete those two lines do I run "docker-compose up" again? Thank you!
